Landslide win by Mercury at ACCA June 2013 examinations
View(s):Mercury Institute of Management affirmed its status as to why they are currently the only platinum accredited ACCA tuition provider in Sri Lanka by carrying away 10 out of 13 prizes for the recently concluded ACCA examinations held for June 2013. With 3 of the 13 prize winners being students involved in self study, the balance 10 students were the only ones from an ACCA platinum approved tuition provider who managed to be awarded these recognitions. This session included five out of six award winners for the level 2 and five out of seven award winners for level 3 in ACCA . The winner of the Best Global Affiliate Award, for the June 2013 exams, Ms 
Roshenka Madanayake was also a student of Mercury. This award acknowledges ACCA students who scored the highest cumulative marks based on five professional level papers, successfully completed in a single sitting. In addition to the 10 ACCA Sri Lankan prize winners Mercury has also received 5 CAT (Certified Accounting Technician) Sri Lankan prize winners for their papers in the June 2013 examinations . This year Mercury once again exceeded the world pass rates in all subjects .
Worldwide, ACCA confers the platinum status to only a handful of its tuition providers ‘in recognition of exceptional quality of tuition provided and support for ACCA students’. Platinum status challenges the total quality of the institute with a minimum requirement being an institute’s ability to deliver pass rates higher than world pass rates in consecutive sessions, on a consistent level.
