Lyceum’s Leenula a rising TT star
View(s):Leenula Methumsith from Lyceum International School Bogamuwa, the school’s present Under 7 table tennis champion, is emerging as an outstanding talent even in inter-school competition as he recently chiseled his name amongst the top players at the 2013 Western Province Open Ranking Championship, which was held at the University of Moratuwa Sports Complex last weekend.
The championship was organised by the Sri Lanka Western Province Table Tennis Association under the patronage of the Sri Lanka Table Tennis Association. Leenula started playing table tennis in late 2012 and this was his first major school tournament.
During the competition Leenula’s unique style captured the attention of all those who were present as he reeled out an array of perfectly executed shots with an exquisite technique.
