Colombo International Nautical & Engineering College (CINEC), is one of the largest private educational institutes in Sri Lanka. CINEC which started as an institute providing Marine related education has diversified into other areas of education such as General Engineering, Management, Information Technology and Vocational training programmes, in addition to a portfolio of well diversified Maritime educational courses. Established in 1990, CINEC CAMPUS is located in the quiet picturesque suburbs of Malabe giving the ambience and peace of mind for students to focus on their studies. To further assist deserving students, CINEC has decided to offer more than 10 scholarships to students of the September/October 2013 intakes in the fields of Management and Engineering Studies. The Scholarships, which will be awarded to the best students of each faculty through an examination, will be applicable for the following programmes.

The above mentioned Engineering programmes are well recognized and paves the way for lucrative employment opportunities. Our students have even been selected to represent the country at important international events and conferences bringing honor for themselves and the country.
The University of Wolverhampton programme is flexible and allows the student to transfer to UK at any point during the course of study and even transfer back to study in Sri Lanka if the student requires in doing so. It is a fully internal degree offered by the UK University and students will be registered as students of the wolverhampton university and all transcripts and final certification will be awarded from the UK University.
The degree offered by Australian Maritime College-Australia( AMC) is a 2+2 programme and allows the student to transfer to the Australian University upon completion of two years for completion of the degree in Australia after which the Employment is Guaranteed in Australia by AMC.
The Faculty of Management of CINEC conducts programs offered by the Dalian Maritime University, China.

The Programme offered by the Faculty of management provides extremely lucrative local and International job opportunities and the students who have completed their degrees have already been employed in Leading local and international companies and are doing extremely well.
CINEC scholarships will be available for the above mentioned programmes. An open day would be conducted on the 14th of September 2013 for the above mentioned programmes as well as the following IT programmes on which date the scholarship exams will also be held.

The Information Systems Programme (IS) is an internationally recognized degree programme designed for those who want to design and implement effective solutions to meet organizational and management needs for information and decision support. Graduates of the Information Systems programme are well prepared to take a leading role in shaping our knowledge-based future.
This unique degree prepares students to participate in opportunities arising in software systems and services anywhere in the world as the globe becomes increasingly interconnected.
The Information Technology Programme (IT) is another internationally recognized degree programme designed for those who are interested in the practice, application and operations of computing and IT.
Whilst covering the role of organizational functions and how IT systems are used in practice, this course is for those who are confident in the digital world. Students will learn about IT implementation and support functions, along with the principles of systems acquisition and development methods.
The above mentioned programmes are from foreign universities recognized by the University Grants Commission and carry internships provided by leading international and local companies which pave the way for excellent job opportunities with high remuneration. The graduates are usually absorbed by the companies where the internship training is provided. These graduates also has a high demand in the overseas job market, resulting in a heavy demand for the said study programmes.
The Campus is fully equipped with modern equipment and air conditioned classrooms with comfortable seating. An auditorium, residential facilities, large open cafeteria are a few of the available facilities for the use of students at CINEC. The campus has already invested in expanding its facilities with a new leisure area designed where the students could relax or study in an outdoor natural atmosphere.
