Ruk Rakaganno environmental lecture on water resources
View(s):Environmental lecture series 2- Water -Ruk Rakaganno will be having its second lecture on the State of the Environment on Friday, September 13 at the N.M. Perera Centre at 108, N.M. Perera Mawatha, Borella at 5 p.m.
Upali (K.A.U.S.) Imbulana, presently a consultant to the Mahaweli Consultancy Bureau, will in his talk look at the Water Resources of Sri Lanka , the historical developments and present water resources management and the threats to environmental sustainability due to the lack of integrated management of water resources.
An irrigation and water resources engineer with a wealth of experience in the water sector, Mr. Imbulana co-ordinated the Lanka Case Study for the World Water Assessment Programme of the United Nations. He is the co-editor of the Sri Lanka Water Development Report sponsored by UNESCO.
The lecture is open to all.
