How I like to spend my time

I like to watch the sunrise
All shining in the blue sky
To watch the chirping birds on trees
And cranes flying high
I like to see the morning blossoms
Smiling with all their might
To watch the splendid twinkling stars
In the quietness of night

I like to feel the cool breeze
Lingering all around
To watch the ripples
in a lake or river
And hear their lapping sound
I like to see fruit trees
Heavily laid with pride
To watch the sea as
A beautiful bride
The sunset brings me joy
These make me a happy boy

Abitha Diyani

Abitha Diyani is my favourite TV programme. The main character is Dong Yi. It is a Korean movie. It is based on a true story.
There was a king who fell in love with Dong Yi. Dong Yi started her life in the palace as a maid. Later the king made her his favourite second queen. Every night the king and Dong Yi go for a walk.

There is a bad queen whom the king made his first queen without knowing that she was bad. Her name is Ok Jong. Ok Jong sends Dong Yi out of the palace and she had to live in a small hut. But the king would always come to meet her.

Dong Yi has a son and he becomes the prince who is next to become king. Then Ok Jong dies and Dong Yi’s son becomes King.
I love Abitha Diyani.

My class trip

My class trip was on July 30, 2013. We were on our way to Galle on the highway. We all started singing songs. We went to the Galle Harbour. The surroundings and the ships were spectacular! We were taught how to control the machines and their functions inside the ship. We took pictures of all of us in the ship… Click! Click!

Then we raced to the Maritime Museum. There was a presentation based on ‘Shipwrecks around  Sri Lanka’ where divers have found Indian coins, Ceylon bottles and many more treasures. Then we headed to the ‘Chaaya Tranz’ Hotel in Hikkaduwa. We were welcomed with a drink and set off lunch which was superb. I enjoyed the meal immensely!

After a little break we went outside to see the sea. It was breathtaking! We played volleyball and then our head teacher
Miss. Dharshani said we can play on the beach. We danced in the water and it was awesome!

In the evening we had tea and a delicious chocolate cake. Lastly we headed to the Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda. A man guided us to different tanks and gave facts about each species of turtles. After that we set off and when we came to school it was 8p.m. We were so tired but filled with memories of our class trip.
