Another total of 50 Million worth Scholarships from the Java Institute this year too
View(s):It is a well-known fact that the Java Institute for Advanced Technology is the pioneering and only institute set up in Sri Lanka to train students with cutting edge technology. We were able to witness highly talented students of the nation fail to enrol into the most precious courses at the Java Institute for the last seven years due to financial constrains.
It was regretful to know the courses were not open for the gifted students, clever students who encounter financial handicaps.

While considering the aforementioned points, the Java Institute introduced a scholarship programme, countrywide, with the recognition of educational exhibition, Touch Your Future, organised by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Skills Development in 2012. The Java Institute was able to grant 770 scholarships to the value of 37 million rupees including full-scholarships to the children of the nation.
The Java Institute has organised an island-wide scholarship programme this year too based on the fruitful outcome of the previous scholarship programme. The students who win full-scholarships are not expected to pay any fee including the registration fee. They will also be provided with all necessities to continue their studies free of charge during the course.
The network of the Java Institute consists of five braches countrywide. The institute also offers wide array of courses in addition to Software Engineering, for example, Management, International Marketing, Electronic Engineering and Psychology. The Java Institute also has infrastructure to conduct research activities in Psychology, Neuroscience, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Web Technology.
The Java Institute is the only educational institute in Sri Lanka replete with cutting edge technology to successfully follow the PCJT software engineering program.

The Java Institute has finalised the arrangements to grant 840 scholarships to the value of 57.6 million rupees under the forthcoming scholarship programme. The students are selected for the streams of software engineering, management, electronic engineering and psychology for a one-year programme to the value of Rs. 150,000. 60 full scholarships, 120 half scholarships, 240 scholarships with 30% discount will be granted under the software engineering category. Under the management stream 20 full scholarships, 40 half scholarships and 80 scholarships with 30% discount will be offered. 20 full scholarships, 40 half scholarships, 80 scholarships with 30% discount will be granted under the electronic engineering category. Under the psychology section, 20 full scholarships, 40 half scholarships, 80 scholarships with 30% discount will be offered.
The courses offered by the Java Institute are subject to a curriculum of international level and all of them are conducted by highly qualified Sri Lankan academic staff. The Java Institute is currently engaged in wide array of programmes countrywide to make use of the products of the scholarship programme for the betterment of the country.
