View(s): After her successful comeback piano concert last year, Mehroon Wahab is ready with another dazzling programme.
‘Pure Piano Moods’ will feature an exciting repertoire consisting of jazz, classical and pop music, at the Goethe Institute, Colombo 7, on 5 Saturday October from seven to nine p.m.
Mehroon, a precious pianist from her childhood days, had her own 15-minute weekly radio programme over the SLBC at age 15.
A much-demanded performer in the Colombo hotel scene through the 1970s, she formed a famous trio with David Sansoni (double bass) and Peter Collin-Thome (drums) till the early 80s.
Her comeback performance last year showed that she had lost nothing of her skills despite two decades of self-imposed retirement.
