Wycherley follows the Cambridge Curriculum from Year 1 to year 13 or UKG to Grade 12. When you choose Cambridge, you join hands with an organisation that has an excellent reputation in International Education. Cambridge Primary is a wonderful preparation ground that sets clear objectives in English, Mathematics and Science. The students face a Primary Checkpoint Examination at Grade 5 in these 3 subjects.
The Cambridge Secondary I programme from Grade 6 – 8 develops their learning skills in the 3 main subjects VIZ English, Mathematics and Science. At Grade 8 the students face the Secondary I Checkpoint Examination in these 3 subjects. At the end of the Grade 5 and Grade 8 Checkpoint Examinations, every student receives an Assessment Report from Cambridge, which indicates the strengths and weaknesses of every child. These Assessment Reports help the child as well as the teacher to do the necessary improvement to enable the child to progress. These two examinations also provide an excellent preparation ground for the start of the Secondary II level, where the students stream themselves in readiness for the commencement of the O/Level programme, be it Science, Maths, Arts or Commerce streams.
Mr. Jayasinghe concluded by saying, “It is also with pride that I mention the fact that Wycherley is the only school that follows the Cambridge Curriculum from Year 1 up to Year 13. Most of the students who sat the Examinations in 2013 have been with us from the Play Group. I must thank our dedicated staff of the Elementary, Primary, Junior and Senior Schools, who have moulded the students and helped them achieve excellence in their education. A special thank you to the Management of Wycherley for all their assistance at all times.
Our students have successfully transferred themselves to well known Universities in UK, USA, Australia, Canada, Malaysia, and India. We are indeed proud of their success, where many of our students hold top positions in many part of the globe”.
