My mother

Your wings protect me
from the biggest storm
your wings keeps me warm
from the coldest night

You are a light
to my darkest path
Your light shines
Forever beside me

Thank you mother for
everything

Chocolates

Chocolates are sweet and delicious. It is good as well as bad for our health. Chocolates can make us feel dizzy and they can also make us fat. Small children love chocolates. It contains some kind of addictive which makes us addicted to eat it often.
Some people say that chocolate is a sign of love. It is made from cocoa beans which is turned into cocoa powder which gives the chocolate taste.

Remember, have a limit for everything and don’t let anyone take your piece.

An interesting friend

I have many friends. They vary in personality and character but are interesting too. Rahul is one of them.
Rahul speaks very little and only what is necessary. He is honest, caring and kind.

We sit together at school and share a close relationship. In fact we have been good friends from Grade One. We help each other when in difficulty regarding school work. We play together and even exchange storybooks. He tells me of good and useful programmes to watch on television. If I miss out on lessons at class, he happily shares with me the work done.

Though quiet, he often cracks jokes and tells interesting and inspiring stories with knowledge and morals. He offers me good advice. He understands me well and I confide things in him.

I am certainly proud to have a friend like him and hope our friendship will last forever.

My grandparents

When we talk about grandparents, I always wonder, why are they called ‘grand’? The reason for this is that they are really grand. They are grand in their cute and majestic appearances, grand in their magnanimous behaviour, grand in their attitudes and very grand in their love and affection.

‘Grandparents’ are our parents’ parents and they are the ones who pamper the children of the family out of proportion. This is because after a long gap of time, when their own children were small, now they find in their homes little children to play with. They pamper us more than they ever did their own because now they have all hours at their disposal, free from all responsibilities.

They pamper and love us. When their own children were small, they had no time for such cajoling. Besides, as parents are busy the whole day, they have no time for the extra demands of children.

This is where the grandparents enter the scene. We learn to respect not only our elders but also the old and infirm. The very presence of grandparents gives us a great stock of humaneness which we could have missed otherwise.

Dear friends, we should realise that “our grandparents are angels in disguise, supplying us everything that we need and building a path for a successful future.”
