Havies in for a treat
View(s):Defending Division A Clubs Rugby champions, Havelocks Sports Club received backing from Prima Treats, who has come forward as a co-sponsor and nutrition partner. The sponsorship was confirmed last Monday at a press briefing held at the club premises in Havelock Town where officials from both parties were present.
Shun Tien Shing, General Manager of Prima Group stated “We are proud to announce our inaugural year of partnership with Havelocks and we recognise this as a wonderful opportunity to encourage and make a contribution to Sri Lankan Rugby”.
Havelocks, once the top Rugby club in Sri Lanka, experienced a disastrous period finishing among the low seed sides for more than two seasons. But last year, with the new revival Havelocks made a strong resurgence in the competition and went on to win the League Championship. The side includes many of the Sri Lanka stars and is tipped defend their title as a strong outfit.
