MS Dynamics provides support to Tropicoir
View(s):The latest organisation to join the exclusive and elite corporate segment of Microsoft Dynamics ERP is Tropicoir Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, exporters of coir based products worldwide, the business solutions company said.
The company has been a leader in the industry for the past17 years and maintains a close relationship with its clients in order to keep up with the fast changing technologies in the global horticulture market.
“As the company grew each day, we saw the increasing need to streamline processes to improve productivity and reduce costs,” said the Managing Director of Tropicoir Lanka (PVT) Ltd, Dinesh Fernando. To improve operations in their organisation, Tropicoir group wanted to replace its existing system which until then used manual processes.
Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 said in its statement that the company was selected to provide a product to meet Tropicoir’s needs.
Microsoft Dynamics is a fully integrated business system solution which carries the capability of cutting across areas of finance, manufacturing, trading, supply chain management, inventory management, service management and many other critical business modules. Jinasena InfoTech (PVT) Ltd was chosen to do the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009. “We were comfortable with Jinasena InfoTech as our ERP partner during the selection process as they have successfully completed the Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP implementation which is the most advance version of Dynamics ERP family within the Jinasena group and many other organisations in Sri Lanka,” said Mr. Fernando.
Senaka Attygalle, Managing Director for Jinasena InfoTech (Pvt) Ltd said that to make an ERP implementation successful, it is very important to do a comprehensive process mapping with the required Business Process Reengineering. The BPR work done during the process finalization stages will bring greater benefits to the organisation, he added.
