Two-day debate on COPE report this week

A two day Parliamentary debate on the Report of the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) which was presented to the House in July will take place this week. The Opposition initiated debate will be held on Thursday and Friday.

Meanwhile the Order under the Strategic Development Projects Act to give tax concessions to strategic development project -Lake Leisure Holdings – will also be taken up for debate in Parliament on Wednesday.

It is a mixed facility development project which is to be undertaken by Australian gaming tycoon James Packer with an original investment of around $ US 350 million.
