McFoil Colombo awareness programme held, more to come
View(s):Sri Lankan manufacturer Macbertan recently held an awareness programme in Colombo on its McFoil thermo-reflective insulation product range, to restrict the adoption of “fake products which are cheap in quality”, according to a statement by the company.
The company also signalled that its recent awareness programme was part of a number of programmes planned island-wide to “make their customers aware of how to identify the genuine McFoil products”.
Also in the statement, company director Cheminda Amarasinghe was quoted as saying; “On McFoil insulation products, the McFoil logo appears on the yellow outer skin while ‘Macbertan’ name appears as the name of manufacturer on the label. Also there are the international quality certifications such as ISO appear along with the company’s name”.
Further added; “McFoil, by combining a reflective foil surface with a closed cell foam heat barrier which provides an excellent thermo-reflective medium consistently, is outperforming traditional fibre-based products… The only top grade excellent thermo-reflective medium in Sri Lanka, McFoil can be easily fixed onto the inside layer of the roof, reflecting over 90 per cent of the radiant heat, making the indoors comfortable to stay”. The statement also noted; “Unlike the conventional heat reflectors, McFoil is not only an aluminum foil and but is also manufactured by laminating thermally expanded Low Density Polyethylene foam in sheet foam with Aluminum or Metalized polyester film and is water resistant”.
