Saffron Foods to launch healthy and balanced foods options
View(s):Saffron Foods, 15 years after starting off as a small kitchen to cater to meals for employers of parent company Expolanka Holdings, is now preparing to launch a range of specially prepared, well balanced meals to promote healthy living.
A 24 hour, 7 days a week meal solution for corporates and individuals is also in the works. Also on board is the launch of a revamped look for the Saffrons website with an online ordering system incorporated in the site, Expolanka said in a statement this week.
It said Saffrons, a total food solutions provider, has all its meals prepared by a team of internationally and locally qualified chefs. These chefs have over two decades of experience in the industry having formerly worked in both local and international hotels, for airlines and VVIPs.
The Saffron modern kitchen is located on a sprawling 5000 sq. feet of land in Orugodawatta, Avissawella and is equipped with state of the art technology. It has the capacity of producing 5,000 meals per session which are cooked and packed according to internationally accepted hygiene standards.
“Approximately 500,000 plus meals were prepared during the last financial year and presently 3,500 meals are cooked and packed for customers and key clients daily,” the statement said.
“From the beginning Saffron was intent on providing healthy, nourishing meals to our customers. We believe success is measured by the satisfaction of our clients, which is why we engage in only the best practices in food preparation,” said Safwan Hilme, General Manager at Saffrons Foods.
