Textured Jersey collaborates with IBM to boost IT efficiency
View(s):IBM is collaborating with Textured Jersey Lanka PLC, a leading manufacturer of weft knit fabrics in Sri Lanka, to provide advanced technology solutions to the company for scaling up their business operations for improved efficiency.
Textured Jersey is a public limited liability company, with the backing of two major players in the Textile Industry – Pacific Textiles Hong Kong and Brandix Lanka Ltd.
“To cement its leadership position in the industry, Textured Jersey required a revamp of their IT infrastructure while ensuring an enhanced business performance. They decided to invest in the IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Software for smarter backup and recovery management. With the IBM solution, Textured Jersey was able to build a robust IT environment that has end-to-end technology support. It also makes the company’s data available in a more efficient and fast manner, while providing a centralized, automated data protection to help reduce risks associated with any data loss in their organization,” according to an IBM statement issued this week.
Linkesh Ratnasamy, Head of IT at Textured Jersey said, “This is a large scale upgrade which includes changes to the existing hardware, the operating system, databases and version upgrade to ERP. The hosting infrastructure has enough server headroom to accommodate our current as well as projected traffic loads. While we are very committed to accomplishing these new server upgrades, we consider it to be essential for our growth at this point”.
