Colonial Coat of Arms restored
View(s):The Archaeological Department’s Southern Province Chief Conservationist K.Y.Gamini Saman goes through the finishing touches to the restoration of the Coat of Arms of England at the entrance to the Galle Fort ahead of the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting . The Galle Fort put up by the Portuguese and subsequently captured by the Dutch and then by the British is expected to be one of the attractions of the visiting delegates.
