Treble for Lalith Priyantha at Veterans TT tournament
View(s):Lalith Priyantha bagged the men’s over 40 singles title at the Veterans Open Table Tennis Tournament 2013. Gamini Moraes was the runner-up. The events Priyantha won were the over 40 men’s singles title, men’s over 40 doubles and the mixed doubles.
Meanwhile M.B. Afzal emerged the men’s over 50 singles champion defeating Rajiv Wijetunga in the final.
M.M.M.Laffeer surged to the top in the men’s over 60 singles competition defeating G.N. Lucas.
Tamara Hewage won the women’s over 40 singles title defeating Shamalee Halangoda. Tamara Hewage then partnered Shamalee Halangoda to overcome Vijitha and Premanjani in the final of the women’s doubles.
Lalith Priyanth partnered by G.N. Lucas got the better of Gamini Moraes and Priyantha Perera to win the men’s over 40 doubles final.
M.M.M. Laffeer joined Fida Hussain to take the men’s over 50 doubles final overcoming Sarath Wijesuriya and H. Gamage.
In the mixed doubles final Tamara Hewage and Lalith Priyantha got the better of M.M.M. Laffeer and Shamalee Halangoda.
