Spa Ceylon to tie up with top multinational brand
View(s):Spa Ceylon, the luxury Ayurveda personal care and lifestyle brand, is working on breaking into the EU region and hoping to tie up with a big multinational personal care brand to invest in them, officials said.
“We’re discussing with international funds on infusing private equity into Spa Ceylon by getting a ‘big’ multinational personal care brand to invest in us,” Shiwantha Dias, Director Spa Ceylon told the Business Times. He added that they are eyeing a big league multinational personal care brand as Spa Ceylon’s high end products will compliment such a brand’s portfolio.
Next year will also see the company come out with Ayurveda teas. “These are herbal infused teas which we want to put out,” he added.
According to Shalin Balsuriya, also a Director at Spa Ceylon, their brand has become extremely popular beyond Sri Lanka and the company is seeing a tremendous increase in their online sales along with growing export interest in Russia, South Africa and the Asian region – especially Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Delhi in India – with a joint venture partner.
