The De Lanerolle Bros herald the season in style
View(s):The threat of rain saw what was billed as an outdoor evening moved into the safe confines of the Ballroom of the Water’s Edge. But little was taken away from the seasonal cheer as the De Lanerolle Brothers performed with their usual flair delighting the packed house with their Christmas concert on December 2.
The lighting giving the effect of a starry night and the backdrop screen carrying appropriate images for each song along with the words was all well orchestrated.
Rohan and Ishan were in fine voice as they delivered the well-loved Christmas carols and had the audience, (decked in blue or a touch of blue as requested on the tickets) joining in, singing lustily to the tunes beloved over the years. Among the favourites were; White Christmas, I’ll have a Blue Chritmas, You better watch out, Silver Bells, Oh Holy Night, The Prayer, Away in a Manger, Silent Night, Jingle Bell Rock etc and with a spread of seasonal fare, it was for the audience a perfect start to the season.
