My trip to Maldives
We left home on October 11. The flight was Sri Lankan Airlines. We met our mother’s cousin. She is working there for six months. The first night we stayed with her and the next day we went to the hotel. The name of the hotel was Embudu Village.
We travelled to places by boat. To go to the hotel, we went on a speed boat and to come back a normal boat.
We went on a submarine ride. The name of the submarine was ‘Whale Submarine’. It went 120 feet below the sea. It was fun.
I took some photos from my ipod mini. There were divers.
We stayed in Male for four days and three nights. There was a sting-ray and we fed the fish and stayed at a Water Bungalow. We came back on October 14. We had been promoted to Business Class by my aunt. We enjoyed our Maldives Trip very much.

My favourite class trip
My class trip was on June 28, 2013. We were on our way to Trincomalee. We started singing songs. This was a two day trip. First we went to see the Museum. I saw a lot of army guns and ships. After that we went to the Trincomalee Army Camp. We were welcomed with a drink and a pack of lunch which was superb. I enjoyed the meal immensely!
After that we saw the beach near the camp. We swam in the sea. After that our class teacher Mrs. Swarna said that we can go to Marble Beach. We shouted and screamed.
We went to Marble Beach and played volleyball. The sand was so soft. I loved the sand. Later we ate dinner which was stringhoppers with sambol. We went to sleep and before we slept we joked and put toothpaste for our friends.
We got up at 6 o’clock. We ate breakfast and left Trincomalee at 8am. When we came back to school it was 2pm. We were so tired but filled with memories of our class trip.

An unforgettable incident in my life
It was a Friday morning in 2010. My brother and I got ready to go to school. After school I went home by school bus. When I returned home, my mother was not at home and my father was in a very unhappy mood. I asked him the reason for his sadness. What unbelievable news!
I couldn’t believe my ears! My aunt had died from a heart attack. She was my closest friend and relation. She had died that morning. She was only 44 years old. She was my father’s sister. My aunt had two daughters who are elder to me. I instantly got ready to go to their home. Their home was decorated with white flags and banners, huts and everything.
At 11.45pm her coffin was taken in a black car. I cried a lot. But it was not enough. At the end I had no tears left to cry.
If I get the privilege to have a chance for anything from God, the only thing is to bring my dearest aunt back to this world another time. I love her more than anything. This is the one incident that I will never forget.

Value of Trees
Trees are very useful to man. They support the life of living beings. The green leaves of trees absorb carbon-dioxide and give us oxygen. Trees help to prevent drought and floods. We should have enough trees so that we will have enough rain. Trees provide us with food and furniture. It provides poor people fuel in the form of wood. It also provides animals a dwelling place. For example, birds to build their nests.
Trees make our environment cool and fresh. Trees provide beautiful flowers with a variety of colours and fragrances. These flowers help us in our specialw occasions. Man also uses trees to build their houses.
But it is so sad to see greedy men cut down trees just to fill their pockets. As responsible citizens of the earth, we should always protect trees and leave a better world for the future.
If we don’t protect trees, we will have to face many forms of destruction. So, I wish and hope that every human would take immediate steps to plant trees and to protect the existing trees.
