Ashan Silva, Ned Daniel crowned kings

kings at the Colombo Night Races last Sunday.
Ashan who at present is the most successful driver in local motor racing, proved his excellence and continued his perfect form in the SL-GT up to 3500cc event with his Mitsubishi Evolution 3 to victory from a total of 23 competitors.
Ashan had very little difficulty in booking the top slot, making the turns with remarkable accuracy despite the wet condition of the track, and making a clear gap ahead in the straight lines. Janaka Dias and Abeeth Dangalla finished second and third respectively.
Ned also showed his prowess when it came to riding, by winning the Super MX – Supermoto/Supermotard Open event including 250 cc (2T and 4T), ahead of this year’s national champion Thusitha Gunasekara in his Yamaha YZ. Thusitha was placed second while Ananda Weerasinghe came in third. Dynamic Motors, sole agents for Motul Lubricants sponsored these two champions for the 2013 race season.
