New Jaguar F-Type unveiled in Colombo

Clearly understanding all the facts about automotive evolution, Jaguar has introduced its F-type sports car because it hasn’t built a proper two-seater sports car since it launched the E-Type back in 1961, 52 years ago, according to company officials.
Maria Zheleva – Regional Business Manager, Central Asia / Southern Europe Guava/International Ltd told the Business Times that the Jaguar sports car market in Sri Lanka will pick up with an increasing new rich middle class in the next couple of years like in India.
A Jaguar is a vehicle that truly belongs in a class its own, she said adding that no British sports car has ever been as eagerly anticipated as the new F-Type.
Regency Automobiles (Pvt) Ltd, the official dealer/importer for Jaguar Cars in Sri Lanka will be marketing the all new F-Type two-seater sports car.
The country’s rich and young vehicle enthusiasts, who know that there is something special about a Jaguar would be attracted to the F-Type sports car, chairman of the company Arthur Senanayake revealed.
Speaking to Business Times on the sidelines of a glittering ceremony organised to launch the new Jaguar sports car at the Museum Gallery Café in Colombo, Mr. Senanayake said that he is optimistic that their young clientele will definitely go for the F-Type.
“The new F Type is a pure Jaguar Sports Car, engineered for high performance with its supercharged engines, lightweight aluminium body construction and advanced driving technologies. The F Type was declared 2013 World Car Design of the Year at the World Car Awards. We are positive that we will be able to put more Jaguar Cars on the roads of Sri Lanka,” he said.
