TVS Jupiter to revolutionise the Sri Lankan scooter market

“TVS, a household name in the scooter market with three previously established models, namely Scooty Pep, Scooty Steak and Wego, is looking to revolutionise the scooter market in Sri Lanka with its amazing features which ensure TVS’s key aspects, Style, Safety and Efficiency,” according to a company statement.
With a 110cc engine which delivers a solid four stroke ride experience, TVS Jupiter offers the best-in-class combination of power and fuel economy of over 62kmpl under standard condition with the help of the new CVT-i technology.
“The ECONOMETER, another unique feature in the Jupiter helps the rider to switch between power and economy modes at his/her convince to maximize the fuel efficiency”, the company statement said.
Jupiter’s body is made of a combination of a metal and fiber, maintaining the best of aerodynamics to maintain stability and most importantly it has an external fuel fill which enables “you to fill petrol even without getting out of your seat”. The company said the scooter has space under the seat to keep items unlike all the other scooters in the Sri Lankan market today.
“This is a unique feature of the Jupiter. Most of the riders used to carry goods including fresh food items under the seat where the space was allocated for carriage earlier. Since the petrol inlet was also under the seat, it couldn’t help goods spoilage from petrol spillage or its bad odour. But now no one has to worry about it,” said TVS Head of Marketing Geethal Anthony.
