Black Opal and CML Achievers win MTD Walkers Sixes
View(s):Black Opal and CML Achievers were champions at the Super Sixes Cricket Tournament that was organized by the MTD Group and conducted at the NCC grounds recently.
While Black Opal won the men’s division, CML Achievers were the champions in the women’s segment and the runners-up were Walkers Typhoon.
In the men’s category, Asphalt Plant ‘A’ of Mirigama were the 1st runners up, while Sapugaskanda ‘B’ were next and Narammala Giriulla ‘B’ were next.
The following players were awarded special trophies.
Man of the Final – Anura of Black Opal.
Man of the series – Sithara of Asphalt Plant.
Best batsman – Sampath of Black Opal.
Best bowler – Sithara of Asphalt Plant, MIrigama
Best Fielder – Sajith of Black Opal.
In the women’s segment Niroji De Silva won the award for the Woman of the Final. – BM
