We celebrated
the Thai Pongal Festival last week. We got ready for the festival by cleaning and decorating the house.
On Thai Pongal day we wore new clothes.
We made pongal rice by cooking rice with milk and jaggery.
Thai Pongal is a harvest festival. The second day of the festival is called Mattu Pongal.
On this day we treat the bulls and cows specially well because they help us to get a good harvest.
This is a beautiful festival.
