‘Channel One Six’ on air now

‘Channel One Six’ is the latest Television Channel to hit the Sri Lankan air. Channel One Six, going out to air through SLT’s Peo TV, was launched its beam last week at a gala event. ‘Channel One Six’ is a more featurestic channel allocated more hours to Sri Lankan productions catering to young adults. ‘Channel One Six’ will feature more ‘lifestyle’ style TV programmes, apart from current affaires and social events in a form of investigative and social style, entertainment and travel.
‘Channel One Six’ will not promote Sinhala teledrama culture on air but to more on entertaining and educational programmes. Headed by popular actor Niroshan Illeperuma and Roshan Kuruppu, ‘Channel One Six’ hopes to fill the vacuum created by the popular channels.
