Deanna School of Dancing felicitates most outstanding students
View(s):The Deanna School of Dancing recently felicitated their most outstanding students who had gained distinctions at the Royal Academy of Dancing Examinations 2013 which were conducted at their studio at Longdon Place, Colombo 7.
The examiner Ms. Clare Merchant Andreou, from Cyprus, observed 348 students perform from the school. The School had a 100% pass rate, with 33 receiving distinctions.
Mrs. Gwen Herat was chief guest at the awards ceremony.
Every year the student with the best marks from the three levels of the school are awarded trophies, chosen for their hard work, discipline and RAD results. This year’s trophies were won by: Junior School – Nimara Mahawatte, Middle School – Chirathma W. De Silva and Senior School (Tie) – Tamaia Dandeniya and Ravini Gunasekera. The Most Outstanding Student was also won by Ravini Gunasekera.
Established in 1980 in Sri Lanka (after 10 years of teaching in the UK), Deanna has just opened a branch in Galle. Classes are conducted every Monday afternoon for children five years and above.
