Hameed Al Husseinie trounce Royal 6-0
View(s):Hameed Al Husseinie added a deep shade of dominance to their home tournament campaign, trouncing Royal College by an embarrassing 6-0, to charge into the quarter-finals of the Group of ’80 Hameed Al Husseinie College Under 19 Inter- School Invitational Tournament, after action concluded at the Sugathadasa Stadium yesterday.

Hameed Al Husseinie had a firm grasp of proceedings by halftime leading 4-0 through goals by M. Rizan, M.N.M Rahman and two from M.A.N Asha. Arshad completed a hat-trick with a second half goal before M. Mujeed pelted in the final goal of the game in the 52nd minute.
In another pre-quarterfinal clash Isipathana ousted Al Mubarak College 4-0 in a similarly one-sided game. P. Dilshan and M.S.N Nushad knocked in two goals in the first half before D. Pasindu and W.A.N Madushan added two more in the second half.
Elsewhere, Henry Olcott Maha Vidyalaya defeated Thurstan 1-0 after K.M Dhanujaya knocked in a 16th minute goal. Action will continue today at the Sugathadasa Stadium beginning from 10.30 a.m. – DS
