DIMO spreads its wings to the North
View(s):Diesel and Motor Engineering PLC (DIMO) will be opening its newest fully fledged branch and workshop at Jaffna within the next few months to provide after sales service to all customers in the North, the company announced in a media release.
With modern tools and equipment, and competent technical staff, DIMO Jaffna will be probably one of the most advanced vehicle service and repair facilities in the province, DIMO revealed.
DIMO was the first automobile company to move into post-war Jaffna and the first to open an Automobile Training School in Jaffna.
This training school offers Jaffna students a professional learning atmosphere with industry standard equipment and qualified lecturers, which provides budding automotive enthusiasts the perfect foundation for an aspiring career in the field of automotive engineering.
The company currently has more than 35 branches and showrooms island-wide, enabling customers to experience world-class products and solutions at their doorstep, the release said.
Meanwhile DIMO came on board as the main sponsor at the recently concluded Jaffna International Trade Fair 2014, which was held from 17-19 January at the Durayappah Stadium.
This event proved to be a success with a large number of visitors coming in during the three days and with more companies from India and Sri Lanka, especially from Colombo.
DIMO had the largest outdoor stall and indoor stall at the exhibition. The outdoor stall displayed the TATA Commercial Vehicle Range, the release said.
The indoor stall was organized under the theme “Swayam Waram” – which means selecting the best partner for future endeavours.
