TTSC Squash on Feb 22
View(s):The closing event of the Travel Trade Sports Club (TTSC) calendar for 2013, the TTSC Squash Championship will be held on February 22 at the Cinnamon Lakeside Sports Complex in Colombo. The squash competition which will bring down the curtain on the TTSC 2013 events calendar, will pave way to its activities for 2014.
The tournament, which is sponsored by Cinnamon Lakeside, was revived after a lapse of 15 years. It was last held in the late 1990s at the Trans Asia Hotel, as the present venue was known then. Entries have been invited from the TTSC membership and will close on Tuesday, February 18 at 3.00pm with Dushy Jayaweera, the President of TTSC, at Hemas Air Services, Hemas Building, 81 York Street, Colombo.
The year 2013 was quite a successful for the TTSC having completed 11 sports events with the exception of squash which is scheduled to be played in two weekends. The TTSC conducted its netball, bowling, beach volleyball, cricket 6s, beach soccer, badminton, carom, softball cricket 6s, swimming, tag rugby and soccer 7s with much success. The 38th TTSC Annual General Meeting will be held on February 27 from 5.30pm at Ramada Hotel in Colombo.
