Paycorp signs up with PayPal
View(s):Paycorp, a payment company offering solutions to banks and large enterprises in Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka, recently signed up with online and mobile payment services provider PayPal, according to a statement. Further, the statement also added; “Through the synergy achieved via technology alignment of the two payment services giants, Paycorp will be able to process and deliver transactions via PayPal for various market verticals and merchant categories. As a result PayPal payments will be integrated into some of Paycorp’s existing payment solutions including RentPay which is used by real estate agents to process rent payments”.
Quoted in the statement, PayPal’s Director of Enterprise Sales, Simon Banks, commented, “Through our new relationship with Paycorp we will be able to continue to expand our reach into other verticals such as bill payments, so even more Australians can choose to pay with their PayPal account. We’re seeing an increased demand by consumers for flexibility and choice in regards to digital payments, with mobile serving as a critical channel. As consumers continue to evolve behaviours and embrace new technologies different payment options [are] becoming more crucial than ever for merchants”.
Additionally, the statement also quoted Suren Attanayake, Director Operations at Paycorp International, as stating; “Sri Lankan Online Merchants will immensely benefit from the synergies achieved by Paycorp and PayPal as Merchants will be able to accept the MasterCard/Visa/PayPal Wallet and Amex credit or debit card payments without requiring time consuming and expensive development work. They will also benefit from enhanced security via the highest level of PCI DSS compliance and Paycorp’s advanced fraud engine which has demonstrated one of highest detection rates.”
