Some six investment funds participating in month’s ‘Invest Sri Lanka’ forum in Singapore were in Colombo last week visiting firms with whom they made contact with at the roadshow and a few have made some investments, Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) sources said.
“They met with firms such as Tokyo Cement and HNB,” a senior CSE official told the Business Times. The CSE with the Securities and Exchange Commission had organised that forum.

More roadshows are being organized. “We’re going to Abu Dhabi in March,” the official said, adding that in May and June the CSE is organizing London and New York roadshows.

The CSE is also planning a roadshow in Australia next August with the Board of Investment in a move to capitalize on the proposed Crown Casino project investment by Australian Casino mogul James Packer.
