High jump mattresses need repairs

The picture shows the appalling state of the only set of mattresses available at the Uyanwatte Stadium Matara. It is evident that the officials of the Ministry of Sports in the Southern Province, to whom the mattresses belong, have made no attempt to repair them. With school sports meets being held now high jumpers in Matara are at risk, if they are compelled to use these mattresses.
