35 member trade delegation from Zhongshan, China visiting Sri Lanka
View(s):A 35-member trade delegation from Zhongshan, China is visiting Sri Lanka next week courtesy the Sri Lanka-China Friendship Association.
This trip has been arranged by the association with the assistance of the Municipal People’s Government of Zhongshan, China, in partnership with the Zhongshan Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, Zhongshan Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Bureau, Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Guangzhou, China and the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC).
Zongshan, a prosperous municipal region, located between Macau and Hong Kong in the Pear Delta river region is a major industrial hub. The per capita income of Zongshan municipality is over US$10,000 and is one of the most prosperous and lucrative municipal regions in China.
The visiting trade delegation is interested in promoting their products in the area of light industries, construction equipment and food stuff. In addition they look forward to invest in manufacturing of light industrial items in Sri Lanka to export SARC Region, the association said in a media release.
The delegates will be meeting officials from Board of Investment and delegates from the association and the CCC. A B2B match-making programme will be held at 10:00-13:00 on 4th March 2013 at Bougainvillea ballroom of Hotel Galadari.
