View(s):Revolving around the disaster of the doomed city of Pompeii, American adventure film ‘Popmeii’, a story of a slave-turned-gladiator who finds himself in a race against time to save his true love is now being screened at Liberty Lite, Kollupitiya.Produced and directed Paul W. S. Anderson the film is set in 79 A.D., POMPEII and it stars Kit Harington, Emily Browning, Carrie-Anne Moss, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jessica Lucas, with Jared Harris, and Kiefer Sutherland.
The film revolves around the epic story of Milo (Kit Harington), an invincible gladiator who is in a bid to save his love Cassia (Emily Browning), the beautiful daughter of a wealthy merchant who has been unwillingly betrothed to a corrupt Roman Senator. As Mount Vesuvius erupts in a torrent of blazing lava, Milo must fight his way out of the arena in order to save his beloved as the once magnificent Pompeii crumbles around him.
Premiered in France and Russia on February 19 the film was released later in many major territories, including the United States, Canada, India, and Australia.
