International Chamber of Commerce- Sri Lanka organises delegation to China trade fair
View(s):The International Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka (ICCSL) is organising a delegation to participate at the “China Import Expo, Kunshan 2014” fair.
This is an event organised by the International Chamber of Commerce, China in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce China, China Council for Promotion of International Trade, and the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government. The event is organised with the intention of opening up the boundaries of the Chinese market to international trade.
In a media statement, ICCSL said it did a study with its Chinese partners in China and found there will be a very high potential for export of gems, garments and for tourism. The ICCSL has already made a reservation for some exhibition stalls.
“The high value gem businesses and the value added garment manufacturers will stand a very high potential at this exhibition. China is one of the leading markets for the Sri Lankan gems and tourism,” the statement said.
’The China Import Expo, Kunshan 2014’ will be held on May 14-17 and in addition to this exhibition there will be a series of events with the participation of businessmen from many countries to the event.
