Young Architect of the Year 2014
View(s):It was two wins for Chartered Architect Ranga Dayasena — ‘The Young Architect of the Year 2014’ awarded by the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects and the ‘Design award of Excellence’ under the ‘Community Architecture’ category at ‘Architect 2014’ – at the National Conference and Exhibition on Architecture held in February.
Principal Architect of Axis Chartered Architects with 10 years of post charter experience, Ranga a product of the City School of Architecture (former Colombo School of Architecture) is also qualified as a Green Associate Professional. He is an old boy of Royal College, Colombo, and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Sciences from the University of Colombo.
He worked as an Architectural Assistant under the late Archt. Senavi De Silva and Archt. Lyn Edrisingha, followed by a stint as an Assistant Architect under the late Archt. Karthi Ganeshan. He also worked at Dialog Axiata PLC., where he gained a wealth of experience and exposure towards interior architecture and Project Management Practices.
