Maris Stella Old Boys defeated the touring Old Royalists and Friends from Australia by one wicket in an exciting 25 over cricket fixture at
Old Royalists and Maris Stella Old Boys
Negombo last weekend.
Batting first, the visitors posted a respectable 152 for nine wickets in their quota of overs.
The home side was then jolted many times before scraping to a one wicket win in the 24th over of their innings.
At the end of the game, the visitors were entertained to a social after which a cash donation contributed by the entire group and Old Royalists in Sydney, was presented to Ajith Weerasinghe – President of the Maris Stella Old Boys for the development of the game by the Chef – de – Mission of the tour party, Prasanna Kariyawasam.
