Royal Old Boys and Friends in three-wicket win
View(s):The touring Royal College Old Boys Association and Friends who are on a tour wended their way to the Northern Penninsula to take on
Hindu College, Jaffna and register their second win of the tour.
After restricting the home side to 106 for nine wickets, the visitors raced to their target with eight wickets to spare in their 12th over.
Their visit was memorable for the warm hospitality extended by the hosts who fell
over themselves to welcome the RCOBA with a mouth watering vegetarian meal served on banana leaves. It is reported that the Principal Ganeshalingam and his staff personally ensured no stone was left unturned to make the tour memorable for the visitors.
The match was played in a very friendly atmosphere and in the traditions of the game.. The RCOBA and Friends will always treasure the genuine human warmth extended to them by their hosts.
