Old Boys ‘of the school of our fathers’ end tour with nail-biting win
The touring Old Boys of “the school of our fathers” and Friends from Australia ended their short tour with a nail-biting win in their final fixture against the Foundation of Goodness at Seenigama on Tuesday.
The home team was dominated by ex-Anandians of 1974 and other players from Seenigama while the touring side included the Royal College skippers of 1974 and ’75.
Foundation of Goodness winning the toss posted 128 runs in their quota of 20 overs and the touring team chased it down in the 19th over.
The match was played in the best of spirits of cricket and it continued at the presentation held later in the day when the touring team made a cash donation and
cricketing gear.
Both teams enjoyed the evening to the music of Rukshan Perera and team.
