easy six wicket win over St. Sebastian’s in the Under-19 T20 quarter final encounter at Reid Avenue yesterday.

St. Sebastian’s winning the toss and batting first was well placed on 60 for 3 in the first ball of the 11th over before a rush of blood by the late order batsmen only saw them losing wickets at regular intervals.

Apart from a run a ball knock of 48 by opener Sangeeth Cooray the others failed to make any impression as they lost their remaining seven wickets for the addition of only 25 runs being bowled out for 85.

St. Joseph’s in their run chase underwent an early setback losing their first wicket with one run on the board. In the eighth over the Josephians was struggling on 37 for 4 before Yashan and Priyamal guided the side to victory and qualified to the semi finals.
