Lizhou wins Little England monthly medal
View(s):Zhuang Lizhou scored 66 nett to win the Division ‘A’ handicap of the April Monthly Medal. The Monthly Medal for April 2014 held at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) was sponsored by The Little England Cottages of Jayson’s Realty.

The winner of the Division ‘A’, Lizhou achieved a nett score of 66, finishing ahead of Alain Gyi, who had a nett score of 72. Lizhou’s strength in a game played consistently allowed him to win the Gold of the 0-9 handicap category while Gyi bagged the silver medal.
Rajeev Rajapakse was the winner of the Division ‘B’ obtaining a nett score of 69, while Priyath Fernando emerged as the runner-up with a close 70. Suresh Ellawala and A.K. Thaper achieved the same scores of nett 69 in the Division ‘C’, but Ellawala was adjudged the winner as he had a better score on the back nine holes.
Kan Butani was the winner in the Seniors Division with a score of nett 69 while Jith Wanigasekera was the runner-up with a nett 72. The gold in the Masters division was secured by Nataraj Ramaiah with a nett 68 while Nihal Boralessa finished as runner-up with a nett 71.
Two special prizes were awarded by the sponsor, Little England Cottages, to Sarath Sirisena for the most accurate drive and to Dasarath Hettiaratchchi for his eagle at hole 9.
