Ashoka writes on war propaganda in the world

The latest book written by journalist, writer, poet and lyricist Darshana Ashoka Kumara will be launched at the National Library and Documentation Centre at 3.30 pm on April 28, 2014. This is the 5th book of Darshana.
The new book titled “Thorathuru Walata Hadawathak” is basically on war propaganda carried out in different parts of the world in different ages. In his latest book Ashoka also proposes a new value system based on ancient teachings like Buddhism, Hinduism, Taosim for the modern world. The book also examines how entertainment media being used as propaganda machines. Professor Sunanda Mahendra, President’s Spokesman Mohan Samaranayake, Dr. Mahim Mendis, Veteran journalist Thilakarathne Kuruvitabanadara and Senior Lecturer of the University of Kelaniya Sudheera Jaweera are expected to deliver speeches at the event.
arshana is working for the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation as a radio journalist. Ashoka is a multi-talented writer who has written a number of books in addition to writing a large number of songs and released many compact discs with songs penned by him.
