Thri Nayaka – Bharata Natyam Recital at ICC

A Bharata Natyam Recital titled “Thri Nayaka” presented by the dancers of Aru Sri Art Theatre will be performed on April 22 at 6.00 pm at Indian Culture Centre (ICC) auditorium at 16/2, Gregory’s Road, Colombo 07.
The dancing trio namely Amila Rumesh, Pranesh Subramaniam and Dhakshoth Samaraweera who do the recital learnt Bharata Natyam under the veteran Gurus of Kalakshethra, Chennai and performed their Arangetram. Later they joined Aru Sri Art Theatre, to gain experience in performance, choreography, and theatre productions under the guidance of Kalasuri Dr Arunthathy Sri Ranganathan.
The dancing trio has performed in most of the theatre productions of Aru Sri Art Theatre, both on national and international platforms in Singapore, India and Indonesia. It is a unique event to witness three male dancers performing the classical Bharata Natyam in unison. Organised by Indian Cultural Centre Colombo, the admission is free and seats are on first come first served basis.
