Nathasha releases ‘Kurulu Kevilla’
‘Kurulu Kevilla’ the maiden compact disc comprising a collection of songs sung by Nuwani Nathasha Harischandra will be released today, April 27 at 3 pm at Namel Malani Punchi Theatre, Borella. Young Nathasha is a diploma holder in singing from Bhatkhanda Music Institute University at Lucknow India.
Lyrics are penned by Ven. Rambukkana Siddhartha Thera, Dr. Ajantha Ranasinghe, Rathnasri Wijesinghe, Mahinda Dissanayake, Yamuna Malani Perera and Lakshman Mallawarachchi while music compositions are by Rohana Weerasinge, H. M. Jayawardena, Karunaratne Wijewardena, Navaratne Gamage, Jagath Wickremasinghe and Asoka Kovilage.
The chief guest at the CD launch is veteran poet and lyricist Rathnasri Wijesinghe. A student of Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya, Nathasa studied for the music diploma at Bhatkhande Music Institute University under the tutelage of veteran singer Nanda Malani. She studied for her Visharadha degree at Bhatkhande University under Visharadha Sandya Ileperuma.
