Father and son dazzle at N’Eliya Road Races
The father and son combination of Dhammika and Kushan Peiris dazzled at the Nuwara Eliya Road Races recently with the duo sharing three of the six motor cars events.
Kushan won two of the three races that he participated with the minimum of fuss as he got the better of the experience driver Upulwan Serasinghe in both the events.
Dhammika on the other hand came out victorious in the only event that he participated with consummate ease. Dhammika in fact a few days earlier taking part in the Mahagasthota Hill Climb races eclipsed his own record that stood for ten years.
In the motorcycle events the cynosure of all eyes were the 12 year old Gunawardena brothers Jaden and Aaron who both brushed shoulders with much more experienced riders.
Aaron was able to secure the first spot in one event while Jaden though coming out as the second best had the satisfaction of getting the better of the experienced Ananda Wedisinghe. Shrian Samuel was one of the most successful riders winning two events
