An Avurudu sports festival was held in Wattala Church Road recently with the support of businessman V. Prakash and the Wattala Urban Council. Among those who attended were Ven. Walpola Wimalagnana, incumbent of the Peliyagoda Gangarama Vihara, and Wattala Parish Priest Fr. Basil Wickremasinghe. Ms. Sudarshani Prakash is seen here lighting the traditional oil lamp.
