10,000 designs by Wall Art
View(s):Wall Art, a company that introduced EU- and US-based residential wallpaper locally, has seen this concept adopted by “many” architects, interior designers, corporates and households, so much so that it has, in just two years, increased its range of offerngs from an initial 500 designs to its present 10,000, according to the company’s Managing Director Kishani Weerasekera.
She also added that Wall Art had also graduated from working with only one overseas supplier to now sourcing from as many as 12 globally present wallpaper companies and distributors.
Further, the company announced the launch of two new products, “floating shelves” and “photo murals”, to commemorate its 2 year anniversary, all products are available at the company’s Narahenpita showroom. “Floating shelves” are lightweight and stylish shelf kits that are simple to install, coming standard with conceal brackets, wall screws and plugs, while “photomurals” are a new design wallpaper concept that include wide format murals showing nature scenes to cityscapes to even Disney and Marvel murals for kids. The latter product offers a broad range of scenes.
Additionally, the company also provides 3D wall tiles in Sri Lanka, geared toward apartment complexes, hotels, restaurants, lounges or office reception areas. Lightweight and durable, these 3D tiles are made from pure plant fibre materials as well as being sound absorbent and providing thermal insulation. Available in white, the tiles can be painted over in any colour to match the interior or theme of the room. (JH)
