The FIFA 11 for Health Refresher course for 15 instructors from schools through the Ministry of Education concluded at the Football House in Colombo. The programme which commenced on April 28 included theoretical and practical presentations conducted by Dr. Collin Fuller, the Project Leader of FIFA 11 for Health Programme. He was assisted by F-Marc Instructors Ranjeev Boodnah, Rishi Sowamber and Aurore Lacloche.

Contributing his experiences with local trainers and administrators of Sri Lankan team of FIFA 11 for Health, Dr. Fuller shared his personal experiences in Africa and said that it is our utmost duty to create a healthy way of living for children and that’s why this programme is so unique for us to implement in a successful manner.

He said he is very confident that the Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) will achieve desired goals of FIFA 11 for Health programme.

President of FFSL Ranjith Rodrigo, B.A. Abeyratne, the Director Sports and Physical Education of Ministry of Education, Dr. Lal Ekanayake, the newly appointed Asian Football Confederation Medical Committee member and of the Sports Ministry Medical Unit, Thilak Alponsu, the Project Officer, also attended the event. Certificates were awarded to all participants at the closing ceremony.
