The vehicle dubbed the “ultimate luxury Sport Utility Vehicle” (SUV) first appeared at the 2010 Abu Dhabi Motor Show, and has since then been the popular choice in off-road regions like the Middle East and the outback of Australia, a AMW media release quoted General Manager (Nissan), Yohann De Zoysa as saying. .

“AMW has a long affiliation with the Nissan brand and the Patrol has been a preferred choice for motoring enthusiasts in the island,” he said.
The Y62 has created quite hype in the global SUV market and demand has escalated since Nissan introduced the vehicle in 2010 media release revealed. The new Nissan Patrol Y62 will be displayed at the AMW flagship showroom at Union Place in Colombo shortly.
The Nissan Patrol is powered by a 5.6-litre V8 with 400 hp (298 kW) and 560 Nm, with features such as “VVEL” Variable Valve Event and Lift and “DIG” gasoline direct injection, and has a seven-speed automatic transmission which can also be operated in manual mode.

The Nisan Y62 has an electronic-locking rear differential, hill start and hill descent control, as well as lane-departure warning, automatic braking and stability control.
